“This was the first match for a while that Eight-Ton Killers started with a full 11 players eligible to take part. However, this luck was not to continue. As the first half kicked off, Captain Mewlscratch was struck down with a virus and pretty soon the bad luck that seems to have been removing players from the team at a rate of knots had begun again.
The Kartboys scored in the final moments of the first half, though they could have taken it several turns earlier, but the Killers were in no position to argue. They emerged for the second half with only four players and by turn 6 had been reduced to only two.
This meant that the Kartboys could play an extremely interesting version of the 'cage' tactic. Rather than caging their own ball carrier and moving forward, the Kartboys were able to cage in the entire Chaos team, allowing their ball carrier to run to the endzone unhindered. This would have been the perfect tactic had it not been for the incompetence of the Kartboys' defense who did not manage to pick up the ball once in the entire second half.
