“FC IX, round 4

No handicaps (because of a fired assistant coach :)), no niggles that stayed out and two wizards. So would be a very hard game, I thought.

First half went ok. No use of the wizard and 1-0 in T8. Quick snap and a catcher with sprint and SF made it easy to go to 1-1 though. (My MB/tackle blitzer stayed out in second half.)

Hoped to start bashing good in second half or I wouldn't have any chance at that time. Started ok by hitting a wardancer BH, so my chances were growing.

I always say anything can happen with elves. I guess that means that they can throw 1's too. :) And Zombie69 showed that in second half. He was trying to skill the thrower and 2 1's gave me a chance to go deep. The pressure on the ball with two sf/DT BoBs in the game made it hard for the WEs.
And then the luck was only starting to kick in. Good scatters and lots of KOs gave me the ball in a good cage. Certainly in the turn where Zombie used his wizard. 3 guys down and a blitz on the ballcarrier, but a good scatter and a 1 gave me the ball again.

80K winnings and a ff made it the perfect game. Well, almost. Didn't dare to use the apo on my DP, so he will be out against the DEs. And my wizard wasn't needed, so "wasted" 50K. But I guess that's better than a game where I had to use him. Also I didn't dare to skill my blitzer for an extra tackle, as Zombie pointed out, but better safe than sorry (as Zombie showed too :)).

Thanks for a tense game, Zombie69. Always hard against such good elves. Was a fun one.
