#6 Cardinal Richeleu – Broken Ribs (MNG) #12 Lord Byron – Dead (RIP) #13 Bonnie Prince Charlie – Broken Ribs (MNG)
“Well that's the end of that season.
To start, Erik turned up on time ready to play, which was particularly unsporting of him and downright rude. He flatly refused to go away as well, so I ended up having to play for my points. What a farce.
George niggled (must have been off chasing butterflies) but we evened things up by BH’ing a vampire on our first blitz. Another was off with a foul and things were looking up. But Erik hit back, putting Charlie out for a week. Our DP got sent off and numbers were dwindling, so we couldn’t stall too much and had to score turn 5. Our Apoth finally worked, keeping Leopold alive.
Erik pushed forward well and despite some sidestepping heroics, Erik found a way around us. 1-1 at the end of the half.
Second half and we were in with a chance when Erik failed to grab the ball. Throwing caution to the wind, Mary and Byron got to the ball, but a lack of players and position gave Erik a small opportunity. He dodged a tackler free and knocked Lord Byron down for a stun. A foul the next turn and Lord Byron joined the Hellfire Club for real this time. Rest in peace you pervert you.
With few elves on the pitch, we couldn’t stop Erik from taking the lead, and with Mary KO’ed, there would be no one-turn reply. 1-2 the final result.
Thanks for the game Erik, best of luck for the title. As for us, again we find ourselves rebuilding and wondering…. ”
