“We receive first and score our first cas on T3 with a KILL on a +AGI CW, which their apo can downgrade to a MNG. They have several +AGI players in fact, which has really changed how we can hold them back (compared to a usual chaos side). A fact driven home on T4 when they knock the ball free and then make a long pass over our players to an MA8 beastman deep in our half!
We chase back but can't really reach him and he scores on T6 after a turn of stalling. Heat exhaustion hits both teams so we have 10 vs 6 players but only a single centaur 'receiver' to rush through for a 2turn touchdown. They mark him with two players so we can blitz one away but still need to make a 5+ catch in a tackle zone... but he does it!! .. aaaand then trips up on the 2+ break tackle!
Meanwhile their 2 KOs have failed to wake up with 2 chances and both team has an exhausted player, meaning we kick off with 11 vs 7. They catch it with their MA8 and try and swap sides on T2, but we overwhelm them with numbers and score quickly (for cdwarves!) on T4: 1-1!
But now 3 of our team are hit with exhaustion vs none of them so we have 9 vs 8. They rush 4 receiver beastmen into our half and collect with their +AGI beasty at the back- but have incautiously left him JUST in range of our bull centaur, if we can make space in the middle. We try a couple of 1d blocks vs their CWs and finally he can break tackle his way through and with his 3rd GFI knock over and stun their ball carrier!
A jump-up CW makes a nice 1d dodge blitz back to free up and then steal the ball but we knock it free again. T7 and their +AGI is awake again and nips over with a couple dodges and GFIs to grab the ball in a tackle zone and go for a likely game-winning long pass... but a hobgoblin intercepts it and runs in the touchdown!!!
