“Legends Forgotten won the coin toss and chose to receive. They tried to gain the numbers advantage early but things started to break down as soon as D'Angelo was thrown out by the Dwarven Referee. Ironbreaker Squad enlisted the aid of chainsaw specialist, Flint Churnblade, and the Dark Elves tried hard to take him out. This was not the best move as they tried to power through some Dwarven guarders to get to the Star Player. A failed dodge ended LF's turn early and the Dwarves responded by flattening the Dark Elven lines. Armand rushed to secure the ball and bought his team some time but pressure was coming quickly from two Blitzers and a Longbeard.
Malikith dodged away from the mess at midfield and stunned Flint as the Witch Lord opened himself up for a pass. Armand found him for a short pass that was caught. Lucretia slipped away from a couple Dwarves and blocked off an easy path to her ballcarrier. Malikith would slip away from a tackle and speed into the end zone just as the first half ended.
IS received in the second half against eight players. The ball was kicked in their end zone and it took their Runner a couple turns just to get to midfield. Meanwhile, the Dark Elves were being pushed deep into their own territory as the Dwarves advanced. Thorgrim tried to cover Lucretia but the "Dark Princess" proved to be elusive even with four other Dwarves giving chase.
IS ballcarrier, Fili Lightfoot, was about to cross midfield but came just shy of it as Malikith made a heroic play. He dodged away from two of his defenders and blasted the Runner (1d Pow) back a step causing a fumble. He recovered the ball in the same play and went for it to gain a little more distance from the pack. His four other teammates remaining on the field saw the huge play and redoubled their efforts to free themselves from their blockers. Malikith was covered by what was left of his team and again sped into the end zone to seal the victory!
