Need a win in this and our final game to come 2nd and make the playoffs... lets go! The dorfs get two handicaps Doom & Gloom and Illegal Drugs to +STR their +AGI blitzer, though we have the count to make things easier.
We kick first and they set up to go for a dauntless blitz vs our STR7 mummy with their DP waiting eagerly behind the dorfs... but we get a perfect defence to stop that! We have kicked deep with our kicker so nearly half their team runs back to form a deep cage and they advance it forwards carefully.
Our greater strength on the pitch is working for us, but with only 2 RRs this half we decide not to reroll 2d blitzes vs the ball carrier twice, and just can't knock him down. Fortunately on T7 he fails a dodge to KO himself and the ball bounces free at last!
T8 and we have a chance at a touchdown, needing to just make two GFIs... but we trip up and we're out of RRs!! We have however KILLED a longbeard that they decided not to apo (saving it for a positional?) and KO'd 4 of which only 1 returns, so they can only field 8 as they kick off for the 2nd half.
We quickly make it 7 with another KO after their own perfect defence, and move the ball to the halfway line. The dwarves decide at this point that they will be healthier at the end of the game if they don't stand up to take any more blocks - however we still have 4 DPs on the pitch! We put in a foul every turn til T8, scoring 3 BHs and securing the win.

re: longbeards after MB + guard, fair point. That's one great thing about LRB6, you won't run out of useful skills anymore. Lessee: MB, guard, dauntless, grab, stand firm, frenzy all normal skills for em :P”

Three-normal-skill Longbeards are dead weight, imo, as Pro just isn't that good. I'd rather develop fresh blood who may roll better!
Of course, that may be LRB 4 thinking, and the wrong decision if there is an FFB switch-over coming!”
