“One of my favourite games I've had on this site. Brilliantly tense, and against a great opponent.
Started off with a well worked Chaos Dwarf touchdown, where I learned to appreciate how effective stand firm is, particularly on a bull centaur.
In return, the Aces equalised through a strong push down the left of the pitch.
The chaos dwarves were left with two turns to score, and despite all odds, landed up a catch roll away...which failed. The ball scattered into the elf fans, who threw it to Ceriken Puresight, star thrower, who threw it to the new lion warrior, which resulted in a rather undeserved 2-1 lead.
During the second half, another elf offensive was underway, but had become somewhat bogged down, having difficulty negotiating the shocking combination of block, guard, stand fast, and tackle. Then at a critical moment, Ash rolled a 1 for a GFI, and re-rolled to a 1. This led to 3-1, without enough time for 2 CD touch downs, although Ash did manage another, almost magically swappng the ball from one wing to the other.

Basically, I was lucky twice, and Ash wasn't really (the percentages don't show accurately, as we had to reload after a crash).

Throughout the game, we chatted about tactics, skills choices, formations, and pretty much everything involved in Bloodbowl, while laughing at the various occurences which went on.

Great game, great opponent.
