“SOUPA playoffs have taken underway in a little bit of an unorthodox fashion, but the show has gone on! The Kleen up crew kicked off, and things looked great for the Pythons early. Albatross lead the way, scrubbing out Arn N. Hammer in the scrum, and a gap opened up in the Krew's backfield that the Pythons tried to exploit. Unfortunately, a critical drop of an accurate pass at the wrong time let the Krew recover the ball and storm back upfield, with Paul Molive crossing the goal line just as the half ended.
The second half saw a left side vulnerability that the Krew exploited, with Vin Dex streaking downfield with what looked like a quick and easy score, but Hubris Rakarth made a defensive play for the Pythons, stripping the ball away just before the goal line and allowing the Dark elves to put a few players around it to secure a defensive perimeter. 'I saw right through it' Vin Dex was quoted post match, describing his heroic dodge through traffic to scoop up the ball and into the endzone to make the game 2-0. The game almost over at this point, Snuggle still refused to soften up on his opponents and run in a third score as time was expiring.
Many thanks to Mwilli, who played a solid match. The score here was misleading, and one or two key dice rolls would have changed the outlook of the match completely.”
