“Superb match with both teams giving it their all. The Hunters opened the scoring with a pass and score run in by Tinuos. However, the Jets responded with a cage racing up the pitch and camping near the Elf line, until Yoko cross for his score. Wrroyingly for the Hunters, Thrower Vanmin was also taken out of action for the match.
The second half saw the Jets cage form again, but this time a more concerted effort by the Hunters saw the Jets stripped of the ball twice, with some uncharactistic ball handling errors amongst the Skinks. On the 2nd strip ball, it bounced into the hands of Cudirmyr, who dodged away from the Lizard cage and raced up field to the protection of his team mates. The Elves were out numbered and surrounded, only for Cudirmyr to continue his good fortune, leaping and dodging nearer the line.
A last minute Lizard attack failed to fell the Wardancer, who attempted to dodge away again, only to be tripped at the last second and the ball drop into the End Zone itself. However, he was able to scramble to his feet and dive over the line to claim a last minute touchdown and the win.
An excellent game and really enjoyable opponent. May there be many more to follow.”
