#2 Snuggle – Smashed Hip (-MA)
The SOUPA finals brought two very unlikely opponents together: The undefeated Kleen up Krew, and the 'path less travelled' Comic Book Villians, who went on a Cinderella style playoff run to get here. The Villians loaded up with a few tricks, some extra training, and Star player Ithaca Benoin. The Krew Started on offense, and Mr. Clean set the tone early, scrubbing out Goon as soon as the whistle blew. The Krew wasted little time thinning the opponents ranks, knocking Elves out everywhere. Scarlett Witch replied with a lethal block on Snuggle, leaving just a Mountain-breeze scented heap on the pitch. 'She really hit a soft spot', the Werewolf was quoted post match from the stretcher. Paul Molive was able to use Scarlett Witches' own momentum against her, as she shoved him into the endzone to put the Krew up 1-0.
The second half the Villians pulled a dastardly trick, with a well placed rcok that crumpled up Snuggle with a smashed hip which took him off the pitch to stay. The Villians tried to make a fast break up the pitch but the Krew tracked down the ball carrier and recovered in their own half, and it looked like the game was soon to be over. Janet Orr got a little carried away, messing up a block while holding the ball, which allowed some heroics by Bank Robber to even up the game, as he knocked the Wolf over, catching the ball mid-stride and dashing into the endzone with a last ditch effort. There was just a little too much time and not enough defenders left to keep Vin Dex from making a clean break to the endzone as time ran out, however, making the final score 2-1.

Congratulations to Warlordca, who played a fantastic game, and to the rest of the coaches that made this season so much fun to play. It sounds like the transition will be coming sooner rather than later, so season 2 will be coming after the transition is complete. In the meantime, feel free to send me your emails/PMs if you aere interested in seeing what we're all about in SOUPA: I look forward to hearing from all interested parties. My email address will be listed under the SOUPA heading in the FF division forum.
