After some very rotten luck on both sides early in the first half, the Rangers' Catcher, Rúlionil Routeweaver managed to score a touchdown. A few turns later, Rúlionil was KO'd and Cartil Cloverpath had to assume the role of scoring player. His attempt was brought up short by FBC defence, however. Luckily enough for the Rangers, Casardur Carvenbark was nearby and managed to dodge his way to the ball, pick it up, and score the TD. That's more or less it for the first half.
The second half started with FBC coming on strong, and indeed they did score a touchdown. The next Kick-Off was interrupted by a Field Invasion, during which FBC fans beat up several Rangers players. No one was really surprised to see FBC score another touchdown, bringing the game to a tie. The last turns of the game were a real treat for the Rangers' fans. With only 2 turns left, Cartil Cloverpath rushed right up next to the FBC End Zone, hoping to avoid a heavy tackle. Casardur tried to blitz the defender nearest to Cartil, but the block was ineffective, leaving the player standing. FBC's Rat Ogre Nosepicker tried to knock over Cartil, but only managed to push him back - right to the edge of the field. Luck was certainly with Cartil that time. But his trouble was far from over: FBC defence flocked around him to block his path to the end zone. Still, Cartil managed to score the winning TD on the Rangers' last turn! FBC coach Mafo was confident his team could pull a one-turner on their last turn, but it just wasn't in the stars for him.
Not many casualties were seen, but the game was entertaining nonetheless. Rangers´fans seem a bit disappinted, though.

A welcome first victory for the Redwood Rangers!
