“Victory! Victory! Victory!

The triumphant Working Class Heroes (wch) did it again.

In a remake of last years final WCH met the Return of Boys of Krondor - coached by the troll Peikko from the far North. This time the teams where more well-matched. The Krondorians made it harder for them selves as several key players arrived late. WCH had no time to wait for players who dont respect the kick-off time and thus started without them.

WCH played hard but not over-the-top and the ref had no problem setting a line of conduct. Only M. Bakunin crossed that line and was sent off for a vicous kick on Peter who at that time was laying down.

The game was won on a good first half with a lot of good hits and a few fortunate accidents happening to the opposing team. Running back Lenin scored what would prove to be the game's only goal on a 18- square run.

2nd half WCH had to reorganize due to injuries and a sending off. Still they managed to defend all through the half - ending it in turn 7 when Mao secured the ball and send it downfield in a defensive punt.

In all fairness: the Krondorians could have tied but a failed ball pick-up by their star Jimmy proved very costly indeed.

Kropotkin played great as always and now fans can only wait and see if the captain continues on the team for another season.

But for now the team will celebrate.
