#7 Duross – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#7 Duross – Smashed Knee (NI)
#14 Sergei – Broken Ribs (MNG)
NWFL Season IV Rd 10...last game of the regular season.

Suckers received and pushed up the left hash. The greenskins compact defensive alignment allowed the Suckers to screen the sideline where the teams vampires played a two man game to get a Score on T2. Unfortunately, the Orcs first block of the game injured Token, the team enforcer. With one of the teams Star Thralls out, this looked to be a tough match.

Orcs received the kickoff and moved up the right hash. They looked to be in the clear for a score but Star Thrall Chump dodged back and flattened Veteran Blitzer Goblin-throttler, grabbing the bouncing ball in the process. The Orcs rallied though and looked to have bottled up the Vampire team after a particulary poor Sucker turn where Count Asmodai SI'd Sergei by bleeding him, and Duross SI'd himself on a 2d block. But the Suckers weren't done and surfed two Orcs (for no effect! Thanks for nothing fans!) to open up a lane to hand the ball off to Count Gobolov, who streaked down the field for the his second score of the half.

On the Orcs T8 they failed to hurt the fodder, er, Thralls on the LOS, and then injured their Goblin Shorty with a botched throw team mate attempt.

Second half started with the Orcs having an 11-9 player advantage, but the Suckers fans weren't having any of that! They threw a BIG ASS rock and Badly Hurt Moe-moe, one of the Orcs more dangerous players (and the bastard that killed Counting in their last match!)

That didn't phase the Orc team though and they took the ball up the middle. The Suckers quickly evened the numbers though when Berogi booted Shemp into the Cas box.

The Orcs swung the ball to the right hash and formed up a pretty formidable looking screen, with Goblin-throttler again looking for a score. That lasted about, oh, one turn, as the Suckers did what they do best, getting a ST4 hit on the ball. This time it was a frenzied Gobolov who flattened Emeyin, and then he dodged back and picked up the loose ball. The Orc coaches howl of frustration could be heard three towns away.

The rest of the game was mostly just a scrum, although the Orcs had a chance to score near the end of regulation but were stymied by just being clumsy.

Coach Ironcollar after the match:

"Well, first off I'd like to apologize for my behaviour after the last match. It was inappropriate and you won't see more outbursts of that sort. As for the game...how 'bout them Suckers?! It's been a tough season, but the team really gelled there down the stretch, got it down, and now we're looking good for a playoff run.

I know a lot of people were writing this team off, but besides being down a few Thralls (what else is new, am I right?) we're looking good. The excellent winnings from todays game will allow us to get not only another vampire, but another Thrall as well!

I can tell you this...the Suckers are the reiging Superior Bowl Champions, and we LOOK TO REPEAT!

Now excuse me, I've got a party to attend."
