“Holy Cliffs 2 - 0 clean guys haters

The Holy Cliffs opened their season 20 campaign in style, winning 2-0 against the clean guys haters.

With neither dirty copy or Slayrip turning up due to niggling injuries, the stage was set for an epic encounter.

The haters won the toss and electer to recieve the first kick off, the cliffs took the oportunity to leave their specialist one-turner on the bench, leaving the remaining injured players to recieve the barrage of hits that would come their way on the line of scrimage.

The Cliffs forced the haters back, and could well have stolen the ball in the second turn had a bounce been luckier, but instead, they forced the ogres backwards, using numbers, boots and speed to good effect to counter any forward thrusts.
Eventually the haters got so frustrated with the lack of forward movement, and being trapped close to the side of the pitch, that they attempted a TTM, but snake eyes and a lucky bounce left the ball free for Quickblink The Smart to steal. Despite being disposessed by a break tackle ogre, the cliffs regrouped to bully the afformentioned ogre away from the ball, before scoring the easy touchdown.

The ogres failed the attempted TTM score, but had put the skaven out of position to score, leaving it 1-0 at half time.


The cliff's drive was opened by a mistake that left the ball vulnerable, however, when the ogres sought to capitalise, their AG2 let them down, and the ball was (remarkably conveniently) caught by Fouling is Fun, who wasted no time in putting his team 2-0 up.

With 5 turns left, and no goblin for the TTM, the ogres were looking increasingly unlikely to win, but a pair of casualties gave them hope for a consolation TD, especially with the skaven electing for a hyper agressive defence looking to turnover the offence and score again, which left them with plenty of room to run ogres through.
The Cliffs almost managed to get away, but several KOs left them spectators as the ogres made a desperate, but ultimately doomed attempt (featuring a long pass) to score.
