“Barak Miners faced off against the Dark Isle dwarves, with the game unexpectedly being a top of the table clash.

The miners started the game, and quickly entered the melee, although a slight part of their plan was damaged when their DP was sent off first foul. The drive continued with both sides trying to gain the advantage until the Miners rerolled a block looking for a push back and double skulls came up, which allowed Dark Isle to sweep in for the ball. Their was still a chance for the Miners to surf the ball carrier, but a 4+ dodge was required which failed, despite the reroll, as the Isle went on to score for 0-1.

The second half saw the Isle's attack quickly bogged down in the middle of the pitch, but their superior movement showed as they broke through the lines and made a dash for the end zone. The Miners did bring the ball carrier down, but he just jumped back up, grabbed the ball and scored for 0-2. There was still time for a consolation score for the Miners, but for today victory in the Dwarven derby would got to the Dark Isle.
