We're in 2nd place and up against BlueDevil's blodging ladies. A win here will put us on equal points so we've hired the count while the ladies bring Zara. They get two handicaps of virus (removes a +AGI ghoul) and it wasn't me which hits our tackle wight. Ouch!
This leaves us with 12 players vs 15 as we kick off. After two turns we've only knocked over one of their players while managing quad skulls of our own. Zara has dauntless blitzed our STR7 mummy for a stun on T2 so on T3 they put in a DP foul that niggles him w/ regen fail!! T4 and a POW blitz by Zara KILLS one of our ghouls.
This is obviously going to be a very one sided game!!
We get in quick revenge on T4 by ignoring the ball to focus on Zara, knocking her over with a reroll and DP fouling her for a MNG. They score immediately after.
We're down to 10 now for the rest of the game now. We receive and have 3 turns til half time, collecting the ball from the very corner of our own endzone with our +AGI ghoul. T7 and they go for a difficult blitz, dodging through a tackle zone to 1d block the ghoul... for a POW and another KILL! She scoops up the ball and 4 dice can't get us a POW so it looks like another TD... but she trips over on the final GFI!
Still 1-0 at half time as they kick off to our remaining 9 players; looks very grim. They have however used up their apo on a MNG, so a cas-rich first turn could work for us. However we fail to even tackle over a single player on the LOS despite 8 blocks and cannot put in a first turn foul. Their first block MNGs a tackle zombie.
Meanwhile we rush the ball through in the hands of the count and when they can't 2d blitz him over he makes it 1-1 on T3. It's almost certainly a consolation TD however as we set up 8 to kick again. Straight away they put in a blitz and their first foul of the half to BH the count. The game is now officially over, but the pain isn't. T5 and they MNG our final mummy with a regular block before stalling out the clock in total comfort before claiming the winner.
