“Brook Miners lined up against East Cowes Veterans knowing only a win would live them in with a chance at promotion, but also knowing that the last 2 times they had met, it had been East Cowes that had walked away with the victory.
The Undead started the game slowly bringing the ball forwards, but the Dwarves were able to slow them down into a Melee, reducing the undead numbers along the way. Eventually the Undead made a break for the end zone, but were halted by the Dwarves who, although unable to score, had held the half time score to 0-0.
In the second half the Dwarves brought the ball forward and despite resistance from the Undead were able to score for 1-0, although under too much pressure to stall the Undead still had their chance to score. The Undead tried a break down the sidelines and came away with the ball, but a last ditch tackle by the Dwarves downed the lone carrier and the Miners were finally able to come away with their first victory against the Veterans.

For me the draw was thrown away at the end when in an insanely noob move I blocked with the frenzy mummy pushing a blitzer before a easy 2d blitz with the count to free the ghoul.
In hindsight this loss has probably done me a favour as promotion would have led to to a horrendously underpowered team being in the prem which is never good news :)
