I decided not to risk the GFI to shut down the Dark Elf's chance to get the ballcarrier as I had just used my only RR of the half on another GFI. Nearly proved costly but thankfully the str 4 freak tripped up!
2nd half went pretty well thanks to the sending offs, though it was congested at some points.”
“We're up against a TV-limited team not unlike my own. 4 pestigors and the rest rotters, so we're looking at 3 MBs plus a MB/claw.
We receive first and push through with the ball in our STR4 dark elf's hands to score on T5 just as the pressure is mounting, though they never put in a block vs the ballcarrier. They have three turns til half time and push through well... but we have a chance on T8 to knock the ball free. Our dark elf makes a couple 2+ dodges and needs a 2nd GFI to 2d block their ball carrier... but double 1s and badly hurts himself!! We spend the apo to get him back for the 2nd half and they make it 1-1. We've also taken a -MA injury on a marauder but still have 11 as we kick off for the 2nd half.
But that is quickly trimmed down as they KO a player on T1 and BH another with their DP on T2. When we try and foul out their claw+MB pesti on T2 we get a marauder sent off for a stun, so it looks like curtains now. Still, we go for it, putting in two more gang fouls on the claw/mb on T3 and T4 but failing to break armour either time and getting another sending off!! We now have 7 vs 10 on the pitch so predictably there's little we can do to stop them walking thru to make it 2-1 on T8.
