“We pick up a bribe and kick off first.

They push into our half trying to use their claw dorf to take out our flesh golems early on but fortunately without much success. The ball is safely in a centaurs hands, though on T5 we (unsuccessfully) get a 1d blitz on him. T6 and we manage a 2d blitz and knock the ball free! At this point their claw dorf finally KILLS a flesh golem.. but he regens! They make space around the ball and pick it back up with their +AGI centaur, who then trips on a GFI to KO himself!! We steal the ball at last but foolishly fail to get a player in range of the endzone (it's T7) so we won't be able to score.

Half time and their centaur remains unconscious; we quickly score a KO to reduce them to 10 players and start putting in the fouls with our DP. Our bribe is used up on a stun on T1 but on T2 he dodges to BH a +STR dwarf: result! They answer with a BH on a flesh golem (regen, again) and we MNG a hobgob then foul for the third turn in a row to KILL a dorf and raise him!

We're now 9 vs 7 on the pitch and have the ball near their endzone in a wolf's hands. After some hairy moments on T5 and T6 where we resist 4d of blocks and a possible crowdpush we make it 1-0 on T7. They have two turns to make it a draw and with both their KOs waking up have 9 vs our 11 as we kick off. They rush their blodge centaur into our half but we surround him well... or so we think as he dodges through a tackle zone and on to our endzone!! Fortunately there's no easy way through for their +AGI centaur with the ball and he trips trying a -1 dodge to make for a shorter pass.
