“I'm getting faster, but playing on FUMBBL, I still feel like I'm on skates, and I don't know why. It's frustrating to me that I have such a hard time with FUMBBL as opposed to play on the tabletop. I think I've figured out what's different, though. My turn sequence in my mind begins with "take a deep breath, move your turn marker, stand up and survey the pitch from at least two angles, take a swig of beer, think." But I haven't got a turn marker to move, and there's only one angle to survey the pitch from. So I need to restructure my prioritization in order to improve my planning.
This was a good game. I've played solitaire matches with Slann, so I knew what they were capable of, but I've never played against them before. Halflingdave is a nice guy, which helped. It was an exciting match, 1-1 tie. My dancing setup at the beginning while Halflingdave took a bathroom break is high comedy, especially because I left a guy out of position. The rest of the match has a wicked combination of brilliant and stupid on my part, and a lot of entertaining stuff on both sides. I misclicked twice, moving instead of blitzing; one in the first half didn't really change anything, but in the second half my screwup led to my guy getting surfed!”
