“An epic game - the CDs started with the ball and drove downfield, but with some chainpushes we got a block on the ballcarrier and the ball was free...we then failed and the CDs had the ball back...our fearless catchers continued to harass and popped the ball free again...again we failed to capitalize. We had a chance to surf the ballcarrier at the end of the half, but we failed again - in the process we were living dangerously - giving up a lot of blocks to the MB dwarves and putting our players on the sidelines (multiple surfed). The result was that the CDs scored for the 1-0 halftime lead, but even with all the blocks and surfs, only 1 of our players was gone for the game. Several were KOed - but we received and scored quickly and still had 8 players for final drive of the game. We again used our leaping stripball to get the ball loose - but the CDs were *tough* they would not give up and soon enough the ball was back in the hands of a bull...and he burst into the clear...then came one of the bigger luck storms around...

With no RR left we dodged and blitzed for a -2d double pow blitz to save the TD. Then on the next turn as everyone raced for the ball, the bull failed the pickup with RR and the ball was on the ground to start our turn (first time all game) - Lauren dodged, leaped and then threw a perfect spiral half the length of the field over the heads of 2 opponents - Paige caught the ball in traffic and jumped away and raced for the endzone. A dwarf got next to her...so the game came down to a single 2+ roll with no RR...and Paige made it for the win.

It was a fun game - and kudos to my opponent for his humor and good nature. I greatly appreciate his attitude and enjoyed the game - thanks!”
