“Another fun game against this coach, who accepted the game strictly on the fact that he enjoyed our last one (in spite of the CAS count). I didn't do his E.L.F. standings any favors, but we both had a fun time chatting. I thought his elves played well, but I did force him to score in the 2nd turn of the 1st half. Then I was able to grind out a 6 turn drive, though I did lose the ball once and had it threatened several times. The Masters of Arcanum don't know the meaning of the word quit. But today, the Trunch'n of the Titans didn't know the meaning of the word fael. In all fairness, I had good dice and I finally got a decent grasp of how to handle fast/agile teams with Bashers: pressure them to score fast. That doesn't mean give up the TD, but it does mean be agressive and either try to get the ball or scatter their players so they can't defend the ballcarrier. I did both, and lost my grasp on a slippery elf who GFI'd his way into the endzone to catch an accurate pass. After that, I just had to stick to my game plan and take the hits that were offered. I didn't spend a lot of time hitting the sidestepping Blitzers unless I could get them with my Tackler. And I turned down hits a few times when the outcome of a skull would have left me in a vulnerable position. This forced a lot of dodges through traffic and enough of them failed to allow me a chance. Both blitzes that knocked the ball loose this game were 1 die affairs, and each time the ball bounced into the waiting hands of a nearby orc. The other blitzes that didn't win the ball were still 1-die affairs, so I feel I did a good job of limiting his opportunities, but OenarLod still found holes where I thought there weren't any. Or rather, where I took for granted he wouldn't try. Lesson learned.

Thanks for the fun game, and good luck with your team. I fear that next time we play the dice will be yours, but I'll still try to give you as good a game as you have given me when the dice were mine.

Keith Bull-Hack - Mighty Blow (boring, but Guard/MB is what wins games for Orcs). Keith truly deserved the MVP, scoring 2 TDs, 1 on Defense. Eddie Gouge is still miffed that he lost his chance to score the team's first TD, when he lost the ball and Warren Moonshine picked it up. He took his anger out on 2 unfortunate Arcanum elves and they paid the price for their own success in stealing the ball from him. It's ok Eddie, your still the team's primary ballcarrier. And the fans still love you. Speaking of fans, what's up with no increase? rolled a 1 3 1 on the FF roll. What game were they watching?
