Another ugly win for the wood elves. I thought for sure that frogs and woodies would be trading TDs all game, but it was not to be. Was up 1-0 at halftime, and that only barely. Failed 5 out of 5 leap rolls in the 1st half (3 leaps, 2 had rerolls). Clearly Agent Cooper and Sheriff Truman didn't get their coffee before today's game. Got a defensive score, but lost Leo Johnson to a smashed ankle as well as a few KOs. 2nd half the Twin Peaks cast received and didn't get off to a good start. An easy pass was dropped by Deputy Brennan who was trying to get some tape off his fingers or something. The Banker froggies weren't faring much better, as they couldn't get a grip on the ball and kept scattering it around. Finally managed to score but was down players. Nearly every kickoff I made was caught by super catcher Evergreen Bank, that Diving Catch was paying dividends like a dot cabal stock! The Krox however went bankrupt at all the wrong times (3 failed Boneheads I can remember, maybe 4). I finally landed a leap on the 6th and 7th tries. Can't remember if I tried after this. Evergreen Bank made a leap, then missed when he tried to Blitz Deputy Brennan and we deposited our 3rd TD in the Twin Peaks Savings & Loan to earn interest. Hopefully it will accrue some capital for our next match. All in all, a fun match and we had a good chat. But frustrating for both coaches at various times. Which meant it was probably very exciting for the fans.
Thanks for a memorable game, Nekosama, and hope to see you again. Good luck with the Old Ones 1st Bank, and I hope you get a VP on a player you can keep soon.
Skills (2):
Shelly Johnson - +ST (6 6) Who knew that slinging hash and serving pie and coffee at the Double T was such a great workout plan! We look forward to letting Shelly do some of the heavy lifting around the set soon.
Deputy Andy Brennan - Nerves of Steel (1 1) Well, Andy has been putting some time in on the Twin Peaks Sheriff's shooting range, and it has paid off. No matter how much pressure the opposition brings to bear, Deputy Brennan can be counted on to stand his ground calmly and wait for his chance to save the day.”
