“Fun game, marred only by my stoopid apothecary turning a late niggling injury into a -MA. <sigh> I figure -ma is still better for a LOS player than a niggling injury, but D.J. Fresh will still miss a game. Also, the injury came from a late foul that I suspect was more out of frustration than tactical, since it was made with the ballcarrier. It caused a Turn Over too, as the ref immeadiately saw what was going on. No hard feelings, though, I've had those games before. At least you had a lot of assists and will have something to show for the game.
My rolls were pretty good most of the game, I was selective with my rerolls, and I was able to execute my strategy reasonably well. Patience is what this game boiled down to for me. I was patient and didn't try to force anything, which was hard for me since I've been playing elves and skaven a fair bit lately. I don't think coach Randy_Moss made any egregious errors. With my guard and overall speed advantage, I was able to win the maneuvering game and wait for a bad die roll or a bad position move.
Money was good for a change, and gained FF. Not quite enough to afford an Ogre, but with Cooper missing next game, I'll just take the Journeyman and hire a new Ogre the following game. The team's TV is going backwards, but that seems to be the norm for these guys. I still have trouble believing that some people stunt their TV on purpose. For me, it's not even a choice. I'm always losing 1 or more players for the next game, or sometimes forever.
Skills (1):
Darryl 'Mantis' Hobbs - Side Step (4 5). Darryl was THE man today, scoring 2 TDs and earning the MVP. This catapults him up to Y2K1's level now, and it's only fitting he took Side Step to match. Seriously, 2 Blodging Side Steppers to patrol the side lines is going to be very annoying for many of my opponents.”
