#3 FireWire – Dead (RIP) #11 Microwire – Dead (RIP)
“Well, I think that this game deserves some mention: Lady Luck rode a teeter-totter this game:
My opponent opened with a failed bonehead roll and a double skull block.
By the second quarter, my best blitzer was RIP (failed apoth) just about every 2+ RR dodge I tried failed, and my opponent was getting a POW on almost every block. The result of this first swing of luck was 2 unanswered TD's for my opponent.
But next half an exposed dark elf ball carrier survived a blitz and made some shady dodges to get a TD, and following up on the trend of 'luck favors the bold' another dark elf ball carrier (made so after a blitz and a fumbled pass by my opponent) was left largely exposed, but the blitz that felled him bounced the ball three times (as players tried to catch it, before ending on a 'safe' lineman - who managed to dodge and GFI for another TD) Finally, another fumbled throw allowed a lineman to pass to my witch elf for another TD!
After this however, luck finally failed the bold on a crazy double POW blitz for the ball by the witch elf, and a slow drive by the human cage (killing another elf in the process with another flurry of POW blocks) basically ended the game on turn 7 with a tie score.
With no scoring an option, the last turn for each team was spent trying to make completions. Overall, the craziness of this game made it quite fun despite the carnage for my team.
This will learn me to name players after protocols with 'wire' in the name in this wireless age...:D”
