“We kick deep and score a blitz, but it doesn't help us much at all with our MA6. They score two KOs early on and it looks like we're in for a bit of a painful half, but on T3 a 1d block opens up a hole that we can use to 2d blitz their ball carrier for a KO. Our blitzing dark elf also grabs the ball but then trips up on a GFI to move it backwards. They recover and again we're on the back foot.
T5 and we manage to MNG a dwarf (apo saves) with our mb/claw though we aren't exactly threatening the ball here. T7 and their claw/mb -AVs our one, but the apo saves him. We then go for a 1d dodge blitz on their ball carrier, scoring a both-down that means they need a 4+ pickup to score now.. no rerolls left.. and they fail!
11 vs 11 line up for the 2nd half and they are kicking. T3 and we run down one side but they manage to find a POW vs our elf with a bull centaur but two turns later the elf has reclaimed the ball. They put in 4 dice of blitzing and get a POW and a stun, and need only grab the ball with their +AGI surehands hobgob... but he double 1s it into the crowd where a pact fan throws it diagonally towards the CD endzone! We easily grab it and run it out of range of their players to score on T7.
This leaves them 2 turns to try and equalise with no RRs left. They immediately KILL a rookie marauder (who cares!) but can only get one centaur withing scoring range.. and we easily knock him over to secure the win.
