#1 Jeremy Axeman – Dead (RIP) #9 Sir Trevor McChokehold – Broken Neck (-AG)
“Rolling News Doesn't Roll Over
The Newsfight boys and girls faced a tough challenge in their first match as professional newsbeaters. Team anchor Jeremy Axeman took it upon himself to interview the minotaur.
Transcript
"So Mr Minotaur, did you threaten to pile on him?"
"I did not pile on him"
"But did you threaten to pile on him?"
"I did not pile on him"
"But did you-"
"THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER! ROOOOOOOOOAR!"
*sound of trampling*
Without his support, and his mighty axe, the Newsfight team could well have collapsed but a group effort meant that time and again the backfield was breached, brave newsbeaters taking turns to hold back the mighty beast. Roarwrath, Alagiaaaaargh, and many more were concussed at varying points but kept leaping back up as the touchdowns flew in. With the match won, and much-loved anchor Trevor McChokehold sent home with a broken neck, they just failed to achieve a shutout but still, encouraging signs for the boys in grey.
This is the still alive Walter Crunchfight, signing off. ”
