“This was an unusual game for me. It was my first against Amazons. They received in the first half and quickly formed a cage. We tried to slow the advance and it worked pretty well. We couldn't at the ball but they ponderously came forward as we harried them. We defended well but they didn't try to break out. Second half they got a blitz result, but there their good fortune ended. The ball was kicked in their own half and I gave it to a GR who promptly rushed forward towards the end zone, went over to the other side before scoring in turn 3. They were thinning our numbers (j'man was injured lol)so the next defence was hard. We harried their ball carrier but eventually they got a chance to score as a player broke out. A GR covered her but my linesman fell over before being able to blitz. Fortunately for me the ball carrier fell over in the dodge and it was game over.
Fun game overall. No casualties for us though. Keltic Dragon was a good sport!”
