#1 Gabriel – Pinched Nerve (MNG)
Tough game all around. Vamps do better against teams with spp spread all around as individual players can't beatdown a vamp on the 1 blitz they get every turn. Unfortunately this team had 2 spp hogs: CW with tackle/MB/block, which had me worried every time I took a block. First kickoff's rock also took out a vamp which unbalanced my play all game long.

The final drive had me convinced I had deceived him: all I had to do was run away with the ball out of his range since he committed all of his guys to one side of the range. 1 snake eyes later my guy is lying prone, scoring is impossible for me and he manages to pickup, handoff and pass without a problem. All in all a good game.

interesting match. I think I concentrated too much on the str 5 vamp and not enough on the thralls. All bloodlust injury rolls were stuns, which helped him out alot. and I didn't get many casualties or KO's until late in the game..which did help me get the win actually.

Starts off with a thrown rock taking out one of the Vamps, but it was into the 2nd half before I got more off the pitch. I take 4 turns to score, without much trouble actually...never lost the ball. Then the vamps had a nice 2-turn score. The half ended at 1-1.

2nd half, the vamps pulled the same play to score again in 2 turns. I scored relatively quickly (3 turns I think, might have been 4), For the last kickoff it was 8 vamps vs 10 Chaos. He overloaded to one side and I got a perfect defense, which I used for once. He advanced, then I KO'd the str 5 vamp and moved several Beastmen to cover the guys around the ball. The vamps got the pass off and the ball down field, but a failed GFI popped the ball out without me doing anything. I got 2 CW over there and also BH the only thrall in the area. A failed dodge meant he couldn't get to the ball on turn 8, then I pulled off hard play. CW (piling on guy) picks up the ball (had to use my RR), qp to another CW, how had to GFI once to hand off to a beast that ran in for the TD ... oh, and I had to blitz a thrall off the beast that scored, and used a gfi to hit him..

so, 2+, 2db, 3+,3+,3+,2+,3+..with a RR that is only a 30.007% play...this time, it worked out for me.

no new skills.
