“We kick first and they quickly swarm into our side of the pitch with the ball, scoring on T2 before we can achieve much more than two KOs.
We receive and start moving the ball forwards, putting in a tackle/MB blitz on T3 to KO their AGI6 superdancer. We KO another elf the following turn and are getting into range of their endzone, with the ball very surrounded by guards and no leapers left on the pitch. They BH a blitzer on T5 and we use the apo to save him, thinking it's our key MB/tackle one (it wasn't!). Still, there's little they can do to stop us as we roll forwards and make it 1-1 on T8.
2/3 of their KOs wake up (including the nasty AGI6 wardancer) so they have 10 as they kick off the 2nd half. We advance into their half keeping the ball in a tight cage of guarders as their turns are marred twice by double skulls from their treeman.
T4 and they finally attack the ball with a -2d blitz by their leaping wardancer, but he can only pushback (and sure hands stops strip ball). We KILL a journeyelf and continue to cage up. T5 and their -2d leap blitz gets the double POW with a reroll... but luckily one of our blitzers catches it! They try and surround him but we can make space (BHing the super-dancer, apo saves) and then 1d blitz our blitzer through (skull, rerolled to pow!)... and we foolishly score thinking it's now 2-0... argh!
It's 2-1 and we could easily have stalled out til T8 there with their dancer out to all but secure the win... but now they have 3 turns to equalise.
We kick and once again the treeman rolls up double skulls!! Wait.. is that a grubby sack of orcish gold stuck up in one of those branches?! We waste no time in blitzing their superdancer again, scoring a MNG. They rush two catchers and a lineelf through and pass the ball, but with their rerolls gone need to make a few more 2+s to get the catcher screened... but trip up! Our tackle blitzer BHs their catcher, leaving the ball in between 3 orcs. They go for it on their final turn, making a -2db for a pushback, and then needing a 4+ dodge, 4+ pickup... and some easier dodges for the TD... but trip over again.
