“Very accurate, he must have taken notes. The luck evened out, with the tribes having the first half and the humans better in the second. The mino was disappointing most of the time, but finally got moving and got a cas. A fun game and a fun oppt.”
“We kick first and rush players into their half after the ball, but they go for a pass on T2 to get it into our half. It's inaccurate.. but bounces back into the beastman's square for a catch! We put in 4 dice of blitz but can't knock him over, and then the same again on T4.. finally getting a pow. However the scatter is perfect for them and they can easily recover. T5 and our blitz is better, KO'ing the ball carrier and covering most of their team this time.. but we fail to pick up the ball and they swarm in, eventually making it 1-0 on T7.
We have two turns to equalise before half time, and in the end get extremely close... making a 5+ handoff catch but then failing the 3+ dodge that would have meant a TD.. curses!
We have 10 vs their 11 as they kick off the 2nd half. We collect the deep kick and burn up a couple of rerolls by T2 trying for completion skillups (managing one) before moving the ball to the halfway line at last. T4 and we suddenly score two cas, so looking good, but they quickly -STR a blitzer with their mino (apo saves). We then manage to run the ball around behind them, and when they fail their dodge blitz the TD is sealed. With no rerolls left on either side we opt to wait til T8 before making it 1-1, which we do without too much trouble.
