The Miners began the game as they meant to continue, removing Slann from the pitch as they made their way down the field. Froesche did what they could to delay the Miners, but with their numbers dwindling there was little they could do as the score became 1-0 at the break.

After the break the Slann made their way down the pitch and it was their turn to bring pain to the Dwarves, as both sides continued to take casualties. When they scored for 1-1 there was little time left for the Dwarves so when the Miners failed to move the ball the game went into overtime.

It was the Miners who received in overtime, but despite the strong position the Slann were not giving up and every time the Dwarves tried to break, the Slann halted them once more. Eventually after much carnage the Miners managed to get the ball over the line for 2-1, to make it into the second round.
