“It was Ruthless Efficiency's first match with the new Ruleset and it also happened to be the UI VII Qualifier: Steel Lantern first round. Their opponent was led by Coach Malmir who is at the top of his game being the #1 rated coach in the Ranked Division.

I Say You Fellows won the coin toss and chose to receive. Dante was badly hurt from the start with a foul. ISYF formed a mobile cage up the middle of the field. RE was able to bring them towards the sidelines but they were unable to keep them there. Strong Witch Elf, Bessie Bunter VI, held and ran the ball into the end zone just as the first half ended.

RE received in the second half and their Bloodweiser Babe failed to arouse the knocked out players. Yet, it was an even match. The sidestepping and guard specialist of ISYF gave RE problems. A couple not so good moves by the Wishmaster had his team in a tough situation. First was a bad block that sent an opponent into Kensai's tackle zone. The strong Blitzer was supposed to get the pass but it went to Kitana instead. Kitana rushed up the right side of the field but the ball was stripped from her.

The ball bounced in front of ISYF's players. Judas tried to pick up the ball but he dropped it and it flew into Kensai's hands. Kensai was pushed out of bounds on the ensuing turn and the ball was thrown near the ISYF end zone. Fister T Fish VIII recovered the ball and formed up a cage. ISYF attempted to go for a touchdown but discarded the idea as soon as their star player Harry Wharton VII was KO'ed. Not needing to do much else but turtle up, they ran down the time for the win and into the second round.
