“Slow, drawn-out game. Doomtide received during first half, but luck was against him (or rather, with me) during basically all of it, and I landed a couple of casualties and KOs. With the pitch cleared up, I managed to secure the ball and score.
In second half, the grinding dwarven machine came to a halt. I have to hand it to Mumma989 here, he played a good defense and left no openings. We basically spent the entire half around the line of scrimmage trading punches, and I made little to no progress, while unintentionally crippling and retiring my opponent's team. Makes me wonder, again, why I bother with coaching a dwarf-team.
Then again, it *is* very nice to be able to relax whenever an armour roll is done for one of my players, rather than nervously holding my breath as with the wood elves.
The luck evened out a lot during second half, with me rolling a good deal of double skulls, eliminating my possibilities of advancing. On the whole though, that kind of bad luck wasn't enough to make up for where fortune was with me. Five casualties from regular blocks, including a niggled ghoul and a wight and a flesh golem SI with permanent damage. The other ghoul ended up as an RIP after failing a dodge in first half, and all this while Mumma989 didn't manage to inflict more than an occasional stun.
Either way, thanks for the game Mumma989, and apologies for how the casualties came out.”
