“Despite the score, this match felt a lot closer then it looked. First half, he wins coin toss and chooses to kick it to my legal team. A weather change leads to a touchback, and I stuff the ball into the hands of my rookie Tomb Guardian. I create a cage around him and carve my way down field, and within scoring range. However, I decide to stall, and I pay for it. My loose cage is broken apart once his AG5 leaper hops right on in, and does a -2d block against my ball carrying TG. Skull-push rerolls to double pows! the ball bounces into the crowd who throw it far far away, and he picks up the ball, rushes across the field, and scores to make it 1-0 going into the second half.
In the second half, he recieves, but doesn't cage up, instead hanging back with his catcher while the others try and find a chink in my wall defense. He doesn't however, and breaks through a lineman and the AG5 blitzer. I triple mark them, and charge the rest of my squad across the line to put pressure on 'im. It works, and in turn 6 or so he fumbles a handoff to the accurate/sure hands thrower. However, I fumble my 5+ pickup (wasn't expecting to pass it, but still), putting the ball loose in one khemri tacklezone. He blocks the skellie free, picks up the ball, and long bombs it down field to the AG5. 5+ long bomb, with my blitz-ra trying an intercept. I roll a 6 and intercept, but safe throw comes to the rescue. Roll of 1 fails, but he rerolls to pass the 4+ roll, before fumbling the throw, rerolling to 6 and accurately putting it to the AG5. triple marking means he catches on a 4+, but he passes, before leaping out to safety and a 2-0 victory.
On the plus side, I MNG'd his journeyman with a foul in the last turn.”
