“The game looked pretty cut-and-dried before it started. The teams were mismatched and I didn't think any of the inducements would be much use.

Then we started and I saw a wizard! Eeeck! I didn't know they had been implemented.

That made me play more cautiously, and things were okay... but I didn't count on the dice! Reisender made a T1 error and missed my SSer. Unfortunately I failed the 3+ dodge and couldn't hit his lone ball carrier. He scored in T2 and I had the ball. MOved slowly up the pitch and scored in T7 and stopped his OTS.

He had made a few KOs and I was a couple of players down, but not too bad.

2nd half it all went wrong. He Blitzed! me on the kick off and stole the ball. I bunched him up, but he was able to 2d pow and score.

Okay I thought, maybe it won't be a slow grind to win, but a slow grind to OT. He kicks... and blitzes again! I make the ball safe this time, but he continues with the KOs and soon I am players down and it is hard to protect the ball from the wizzie. Wizzie hits the ball carrier and he steals.

At this point I have a crazy shot at the ball. A leaping 1d pow then a 4+ 2+2+ to pass to my guy who is waiting to run away to safety and a hopeful 2-2 OT score. But the GR makes the 6+ IT and scores 3-1.

So. 3 turns. I need a OTS, then some nice dice. What do I get? another blitz! Game over. :(
