The game was dominated by the inducement, as a mixture of Flint Churnblade and the Dirty player (backed up by a bribe on the ref) did their damage. Added to which Seaview Jimmy had to play with caution due to the hovering Wizard. Eventually the CDs had a dodge to score late in the first half and but failed leaving the score at 0-0.

Into the second half and it was left to the Dwarves to drive and score for 1-0, but not before their runner had failed an end zone GFI and Niggled himself in the process. The CDs had a brief chance to try and equalise, but this was promptly halted by the Wizard, who had been hovering like the sword of damocles all game.
