“Wheel of Chaos - Round 4 (Qualifying finals):

It was a brutal one-sided game for sure. The wood elves came in with an assortment of weapons: PeteW (ST 4 AG 5 wardancer), wizard, MA 10 sprinting catcher, Eldril Sidewinder (hyp gaze). To counter all this flash and trickery, the chaos dwarves simply brought a nasty temper, hard hits and swift kicks.

The first half, the wood elves won the toss and received, a blitz knocked down Buffy the Slayer and a swift kick from Lacy took her out of play for the game. A journeymen tripped and badly hurt himself and the elves were down 2 players...the number continued to climb as more elves were quickly killed. The wood elves tried to stall, but left 3 turns on the clock for the Chaos Dwarves. We pushed down the field into scoring range and with player dwindling, the wood elves unleashed their wizard...lucky the wizard sneezed in the middle of the lightning bolt spell...and nothing happened. Still the wizard was used and peteW would have been KOed...but apoth saved him. We failed to score as ball bounced to a blocker. So half ended 0-1.

Second half, 2 rocks were tossed, we lost a hobgoblin badly hurt...and Sidewinder was killed. We piled on to hurt the one-turner and only PeteW was left in the tool box for the wood elves. He fought until the end...but just no support was left and we scored quickly...only 2 elves opposed us and they were quickly removed as we raced in for the 2-1 victory.
