The Bling's coach knew they were in tough against a well-coached and powerful undead team. The Bling did get some extra support from their fans (Team Anthem) which oddly enough didn't seem to spark the Bling at all. The Nitemares players must of thought this would be an easy victory, as it appeared as though they had not practiced in over a week. (Bad Habits)

They stage was set for an upset.

After The Bling recieved the kick-off, they found themselves stymied by the Nightmarish defence drawn up by coach Chappy. Struggling to stay vertical, Scrilla scrambled for his life after a couple of failed attempts at a sideline run down both sides of the field. The Nitemares D was tenacious, and he was eventually brought down.

2nd Half.
The ball was now in the hands of the enemy. With most of both teams tied up at midfield, Chappy's most agile Wight threw a perfect pass to a ghoul waiting in the end zone. The Bling's fans collectively gasped, then cheered, as the pass was dropped. Now it was up MC Maximus to hold the line. Hold it he did. After sending the ghoul by the ball crowd surfing, and with the ball still free in the end zone, the Bling somehow managed to keep the Nitemares at bay long enough for MC Maximus to pluck the ball from the end zone and fire it downfield in a desperation pass to an open lineman. Tical dropped the pass as he was already looking downfield in anticipation of a game winning run to paydirt. Fortunately, the ball bounced right into the hands of X-large, the Bling's Ogre was now open at midfield! The crowd went wild as they knew it would be an uncontested march to the endzone. Assuming of course, that X-Large remembered where the endzone was. And that's why we should never assume. Sure enough with time winding down, some Nitemares fans managed to trick X-Large by yelling "Your going the wrong way assface!"
This of course confused the clueless ogre, and as his peanut sized brain attempted to process this new information, a lurking Wight managed to sneak in and strip the ball, ending any hopes of settling this game in regulation.

OT.

The crowd was still buzzing after that near game winner from the most unlikey of sources. And this time, the Bling were poised to mount an effective offense. The Bling played consertive for the 1st 4 turns, only to have yet another Wight sneak in and strip the ball free. Showing great poise however, Johny Blaze managed to sneak in and reclaim the ball from an undead cage and handed it off at midfield to his partner in crime, Scrilla. After dodging away from a wight tackler, Scrilla burned a path down the sideline and put the Bling up 1-0 with only 3 turns remaining for the undead equalizer. After Endz was killed and Blingli suffered a smashed collarbone on the Nitemares turn 6, the Bling showed alot of grit by pounding the Nitemares ghouls into the turf, silencing any hope of a comeback.

"I'm really proud of these boys tonight. They faced a tough, hard-hitting, well-coached team and got the job done. Looks like I'm going to pay a visit to the local merchant tonight. I promised the boys more bling if we pulled out the win." Coach Frobo was quoted as saying after the victory.

"We'll be sending Endz's Bling to his family." A suddenly somber coach Frobo later announced. "And at this point, I'm afraid Blingli's smashed collarbone is worse than we thought. He's done for the playoffs."
Rumor has it that Blingli will retire and try to help the team reach its goal as an assistant coach.
