#1 Cesare Borgia "il Valentino" – Gouged Eye (MNG)

Principi got the edge from the very first rolls: weather was pouring rain, and the muddy pitch is well known for hiding the ball from the tall bullcentaurs.
The vampires could choose, and defended, hoping that it was going to rain for a long time.
So it was, and forced to handle the ball with their st3 players, Azure Claw Squad suddenly lost the ball, while not being able to damage thralls too much. This started a struggle, eventually won by vampires due to their supernatural agility, and allowing them to score.
1-0 but still 4 turns of the 1st half to score: both teams there went close to create a safe ball situation, but both failed to defend it from the opponents, and turn 8 saw the two sides trying to score once each. No one suceeded, and Principi still had the lead.
On second half the vampire team conquered a wide zone, having a nice control of it for several turns. Out of the blue, when the vampire touchdown seemed closer, the old, expert, tricky bullcentaur Aidan Silenthoof managed to get a supernatural action, seeming for a moment at the same level of a vampire (:P), and with dodges, go for its, and pows popped out the ball from the hands of Cesare Borgia, leaving him wounded so hard that he'll need long time to come back, or at least that's what mortal fans said, he'll just sleep in his coffin a week longer than usual.
This made the Principi fall into despair: thralls were hardly mind controlled, forgetting to stand up when needed, vampires tripped in the mud, run in senseless directions, got tackled, bashed, pushed, annoyed... still, rain was falling down, heavy rain... and nothing could have made bullcentaurs handle that ball, even all the randomness of Principi's moves.
Struggling until turn 16, the vampires prevented the touchdown, and got it to the semi finals.
First vampire team to get to a Major's semi final ever!
Will they be able to do something without the lead of Cesare Borgia?
Thanks Azure for the awesome match, luckyly my last turns bad plays didnt made us pay with a loss.
