“After a punishing game, the Pox managed to remain undefeated, overcoming Rusty Blunderbuss 2-1 in a brutal game. The Pox scored with speed, nearly going up 2-0 in the first half but ran out of time with Skulas Brownmaw inches from the goal line and a second touchdown. The 'Buss came back hard in the second, decimating the Pox's defense and scoring a touchdown while seven Pox players were hurt or unconscious. The winning touchdown was scored when Fugrat Deadeye caught the kickoff, and, while the 'Buss were bruising the lineman on the right, Rotpad Weedfur went around the left flank and found himself wide open for the pass.

The 'Buss chased him down, but Muddy Tubthumper tripped while trying desperately to intercept the runaway rat, and Fugrat followed up his pass with a blitz to Wumby Bulgecracker which freed Rotpad to make it into the end zone. A kickoff deep into their own side of the pitch left the 'Buss without enough time to march down the field, and the Pox won 2-1.”
