This resulted in a tie at half time, but not before the Sage demonstrated a little showmanship by making a few dodges, a single block, taking the ball, and passing.
The second half resulted in a quick score by the Rite, after which the Sage exclaimed "being outnumbered by wood elves has to be the most hopeless defense in the game!" Fodder apparently misunderstood this complaint, as he gave his all blitzing Greydog, rolling an 11 to break armor, a 12 to cas, and a 68 to kill. Of course, this could not prevent Top from scoring the second equalizer. However, after scoring the 3-2 the Sage still had some coaching in him, while Vetinari was all shouted out.
The 6th touchdown was too hard to make without rerolls, and the game ended 3-2. , whose crowning achievement was a negative passing total this match. The apothecary wanted to save him, but the ever calculating tyrant Vetinari decided he would rather let the player die than pay his pension after retirement due to a serious concussion.
I have it from reliable sources in the team that the Sage has threatened to fire Fodder if he ever pulled a stunt like that again (and I quote): "this is Rush and Pass, not some chaos bashfest.
