“The last game of round robin play for Division 2 and we knew that with a win we would be able to hoist the trophy. The elves however were no patsies about to lay down and think of the future - they fought tooth and nail - taking us to the very last minutes before we secured the victory.

The first half belonged to the elves...we had them stopped, but then a quad skull/pow to start our next turn was devastating...our star player was surfed for a badly hurt and they took the ball...we still knocked it free...but they bravely tossed a 1d blitz and then dodged, plucked up the ball and scored. We had 2 turns, but our pass slipped off the gutter runner's hands in the endzone so we were down 0-1 at half.

The second half, we started to remove some elves from the pitch and had a numbers advantage...scored once and the elves out of RRs fought hard, but we worked to contain them, then finally Gregor with is wrestle ability took he ball from the elves and the loose ball after a failed pickup attempt scattered to Blaggut our thrower - then it was a matter of positioning out of range and Aidan the Crazed our newest gutter runner scored for a second time to win the game as time expired!
