“An even match with no inducments expected, for reasons unknown (legal trouble? tax collectors on their trail?), the Necro team decided to blow out their treasury and induce a whopping 540K worth of Stars, Wizards and assorted assistants. Of course, this allowed the Maulers to do the same, and the match was set to be fan favorite, with THREE stars, wizards, bribes, you name it!

It was a hard fought match too. Helmut really turned out to be worth his cost, as he was a madman with the saw during the Lizards opening drive, shrugging off the Regeners T1 wizard blast to stun or take out numerous Necro players (including KILLING Star wolf Rozar, but he regen'd). Although the Necros were able to get the ball free a couple times they couldn't hang onto it, and Sillis scored resulting in a 1-0 score at half.

The Necros started the second with a drive up their right hash, but had to reverse field when that was bottled up. The tying score looked assured, just needed a rookie zombie to chain push wolf Odin clear...but a skull and block/pow result put paid to that.
