“It began nicely for me when Falien Niemine scored on the first turn. Then came problems because most of my team was downed all the time. Combine this with two players out because of Niggling Injuries and I didn't have many players. So my opponent scored. And then when I started with the ball I scored again on the first turn (with the same player and with an assist by the same player). Luckily I managed to hold out the last turns of the first half and I had a 2-1 lead in the beginning of the second half where the dwarves began again.
Of course they scored against me again, because I had nothing that could possibly stop them, or not stop them for long anyway. This continued with ANOTHER one-turn TD for me and I started thinking that perhaps I was playing a bit cheesy, but I guess I played to win, and it is in the spirit of Wood Elves anyway 8^).
After this came a race against time and I struggled to keep the ball away from my end zone. Some luck was involved (A blitz, a couple of suceeding leap rolls, suceeding dodge rolls and one-die blocks.) In the end I got my thrower out of my own end zone and he threw the ball down the pitch to the other end. And the dwarves were too slow.
This game really showed the difference between slow and fast teams. I could always outrun and outdodge the dwarves but I couldn't outblock them... of course I was faster than them after standing up from prone so... ...
One thing surprised me though. My fans didn't do one thing to attack anything this time... perhaps they were off for a cup of tea. And when the hooligans were gone my fan factor went up 8^) coincidence? :D”
