“WIL Season XXI - Round 7

It's a decider between me and Bo-brum's lizards for a place in the premiership. A draw or better gets them 1st place, while a win gets us there instead.

We receive 1st in a blizzard, and they defend cagily with their kroxi kept deep. T2 and they crowdpush a zombie for a stun while we score a BH on a skink.

On T4 after we manage two double skulls in a single turn they can get 4 dice on our ball carrier - but without any tackle they don't find the crucial POW. Still, we're a little unprotected here... and then our AGI4 ghoul with the ball double 1s a dodge... argh!! They steal with a blodge skink and run deep into our half.

We cannot get at the ball though we do manage to BH another skink before they score on T7.

We have one turn til half time but foolishly think we have 2, and rush two rookie ghouls into their half as possible receivers. They POW one over and then foul him for a niggle as punishment!!

We kick 1-0 down as the 2nd half starts and start throwing players at their cage straight away, but we just can't get a block in on their ball carrier. By T5 they are at one sideline at the LOS with a 4-strong cage around a blodge skink and we are pressuring it hard... maybe too hard as they KO a space and rush right down into our half with the ball. We can't get a blitz in and they score the winner on T7.

We have two turns left to try for a consolation TD, but more double-skulls and double 1s make even that impossible!
