“A tough rematch against BC. They started with the ball - and we thought they were contained, but no RR dodged, handedoff - gfi'ed, dodged some more...WOOOOSH - in a blink the amazons flashed some pom-poms and suddenly Lucy had the ball and was well protected. The next turn, it was 0-1 as our once great defense yielded the first points against this season. Still four turns remained and we drove for a quick equalizer...still 2 turns remained and the amazons thought to rush around the edge...no protection meant we can nail the ballcarrier with a 2d blitz with our tackler. Result was the ball was free. On the last turn of the half, we smashed one amazon out of the way - Rajani raced to the endzone - and then our leader - quarterback Dave Graham showed off his arm...racing forward...gfi...long bomb - perfectly thrown - for the 2-1 halftime lead.

The second half, we scored again fairly quickly for the 3-1 lead...but things started to fall apart...our players were getting injured - we were down 4 players...and that dang Lucy! She grabbed the bouncing ball, 1d POWed our blitzer into retirement - shrugged off all our attempts to tackle or wrestle her down to the ground and scored again.

Nearly ended up a draw as BC pressed again...however we hung on for a hard fought (and lucky) victory!”
