“This was a fun game against the Lizardmen. First half I really had to think about my moves to get by the Saurus defence. A couple of 2d block fails (no block skill) seemed like they would ruin things but Draknil managed to keep possession. It took some moving around but he got close to the line. However he was sent to the floor a few squares away. Fortunately the previously successful lizards failed a pickup with a skink and we took the next chance to make it 1-0. They had a couple of turns to drive back but we took down the main threatening skink after a couple of 2d block attempts. Second half one of those tricky stunty skinks made a quick td. Numbers were 10 v 9 and we felt confident. We formed a cage but it only just held. It was slow progress but in the last couple of turns the opposing coach was distracted/rushing and we exploited a gap for a narrow win. Good game and nice opponent. To be fair he did roll plenty of low armour rolls BUT a saurus butchered our greatest zombie old boy (ex-slaan) Tumbler. Another loss to the team, RIP.”
