First half we took it on the chin. A few turns in, Arktoris just opened the flood gates of pain. Mighty Blow, Claw, or none of the above, it all worked. Off the field everyone went. We were left with just a couple turns to score, but our matched pair of AG4 skinks managed to sneak the ball through to tie 1-1.
Second half, we pushed back. Starting 6v10, we rather quickly evened up the odds, highlighted by the aforementioned kill (which was made possible by a T1 apo on Candlejack, DeMaio Avatar for a BH on my only foul). We then tacked back and forth, forward and back, until we got enough room to get away. We gave up a free block on the ball in the process (blodging skink was holding though), and handed the ball off a few times, but eventually managed to stall until T15, giving the Charioteers 2 turns to score. 2-1
The game's final drive started ominously with a touchback. But 7v6, there was only so much the Charioteers could do to protect their ball carrier. So they marked who they were able, and relied on Blodge and me needing a dodge to protect him. Jovial Blue Wyrm deserves the MVP, as his BT/GFI/POW to drop the ball carrier won us the game. Monstrous Green Wyrmling scooped it up in his Blodgy Sure Hands to keep it safe for one last norse gasp, which fell short.
