“Well, week 2 of SOUPA is up and running. After having a bye for week one, the Botcher's Brigade were eager to prove why they were thusly named, and they did not disappoint in the first half! It seems as a prank, some members of the brigade spiked Lenny's cattle feed with a little extra beans and cabbage. As a result, he spent most of the half roaring with a mix of indigestion and impotent rage. Oh, in the meantime, everyone kind of neglected to notice that SLANN WERE RUNNING ALL AROUND THEM AND SCORING WITH THE &$*@'N BALL!!! Justus made a skilled play to jump into a fray, pop out and lob a beautiful pass to Cleatus, who scampered in for the 1-0 lead. Before the half could end, Goober made a fantastic play to get into the backfield, leaping, pushing, and dodging before slipping past the confused Botchers to make it a quick 2-0 lead before halftime!

Now, up 2-0 the Road Kill Cafe actually got the ball kicked to them for the first time! Unfortunately, they were down a few and after a tantrum that shook the stadium walls, the Botcher's coach threw a little fear into his players who played a bit more inspired. Butterfingers attempted to take the ball from Bueford but unfortunately stumbled and snapped the poor Catcher's neck trying to balance himself. Gomer Pyle took the opportunity to run the ball in during the confusion to bring the game to a 2-1 score. The last kick saw Justus scramble through a crowd and punt the ball as far as he could to kill the chance of a tie match.
